The current version used for testing is called 紫溪 RIST, and while it's compatible with the recommendation 紫溪 has added a few features it knows its customer base requires to maintain broadcast quality video.

"We have been conducting interoperability tests with the other members of the working group, and will have a commercially available offering in version 13 of our platform by NAB in April,Avni说. "We have been providing our software to other members of the group, and our customers will be able to get it by default when they license the 紫溪 Broadcaster."

While the commercial release will be an important milestone, 紫溪 already has future improvements in mind. Besides building in incremental recommendations supported by the working group, the company will add analytics, 安全, and usability features throughout the coming year.

"It shouldn’t matter if you are using the 紫溪 protocol or 紫溪 RIST, you get the best of breed functionality that we know our customers need for their operations,Avni补充道. "Failures mean black screens, which mean loss of revenue. We don’t allow for that."
